About the Job

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead our Subaru sales team. This individual will be responsible for driving sales performance, developing a high-performing team, and ensuring a customer-first approach aligned with Subaru’s values and standards.

 
What You’ll Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Subaru Sales Associates to achieve and exceed sales goals 
  • Drive monthly and annual sales forecasts, gross profit, and expense management 
  • Ensure an exceptional, customer-focused experience throughout the entire sales and delivery process 
  • Monitor and improve customer satisfaction (CSI) and online reputation 
  • Oversee all new vehicle sales operations, including deal structure, desking, and closing support 
  • Partner with Finance & Insurance to maximize customer satisfaction and product penetration 
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Subaru retailer standards 
  • Manage CRM activity (VinSolutions) to ensure proper follow-up and lead conversion 
  • Conduct daily and weekly sales meetings to review performance and set expectations 
  • Assist in inventory management, including factory orders, vehicle mix, and turn rates 
  • Collaborate on marketing, merchandising, and promotional campaigns 
  • Handle escalated customer concerns with professionalism and care 
  • Ensure showroom standards meet Subaru brand expectations and are always inspection-ready 

What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of automotive sales experience (Subaru or import brand experience a plus) 
  • Previous sales management or leadership experience preferred 
  • Strong understanding of CRM tools (VinSolutions preferred) 
  • Proven track record of achieving sales and CSI goals 
  • Knowledge of dealership operations, compliance, and F&I processes 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills 
  • Customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering a transparent, pressure-free experience 
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
