Secor Auto Group is seeking a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Body Shop Clerk to join our team in New London, CT. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a body shop office and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while assisting customers, insurance companies, technicians, and management.
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities throughout the day.
Responsibilities:
- Answer a high volume of incoming calls using a multi-line phone system.
- Schedule and coordinate customer appointments.
- Receive parts deliveries and process/request payment as needed.
- Communicate with customers and insurance companies regarding repairs and billing.
- Make follow-up calls to customers and insurance companies.
- Process customer invoices and bills.
- Add sublet work, parts, and other charges to customer invoices.
- Collect payments from insurance companies and customers.
- Complete and process Direction of Pay forms.
- Assist with day-to-day administrative functions of the Body Shop office.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service throughout the repair process.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Previous experience working in a body shop office preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Professional and customer-service-oriented attitude.
Preferred – But We Will Train the Right Candidate:
- Dealertrack DMS experience.
- Microsoft Outlook experience.
- CCC1 knowledge.
- Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser License.
