Secor's Volvo in New London is urgently seeking multiple automotive technicians.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Must have a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record & background check.
- Technical degree preferred but not required.
- ASE certifications preferred but not required.
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Pre-employment drug screening required.
- Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic/ working on cars.
- Knows how to use shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
- Effective analytical and communication skills.
- Good reading, computer, and mathematics.
- Positive attitude, team oriented, strong work ethic and good references, and flexibility.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs Including but not limited to oil changes, fluid level checks, tire rotations, repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, and other parts.
- Diagnose and estimates on vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.
- Test functionality of parts and systems with efficiency in accordance with dealership standards.
- Help keep repair shop clean and organized while maintaining a professional appearance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Customer – centric approach with a genuine desire to exceed expectations.
